    Color yes but this is a desired color.... this car has more of its original parts (interior, bumpers, trim etc...) and will not suffer the same quantity of cuts and welds as the Gold green car. The motor is the biggest issue here as not only is it not original it is not correct to the car.... the differentiation of the 69 is the 2.0L MFI....

    To me cutting out the rust (who knows what is hidden) and welding in new pieces is more trying then replacing fenders and flares. Different strokes...

    I hear you. Rust repair is always an interesting discussion in terms of impact on post restoration value.

    just buy undercoat by the gallon and it can be sprayed all over the place (preferably with the mechanicals still installed) that will cover up the welds and none of us could ever tell.

    One of the "prominent shops" out ____ has been known to do this very thing. How do I know? First hand experience. Hides a multitude of sins.

    I have access to a 69S engine complete w' all MFI that we may be interested in trading if this is indeed an incorrect 70S engine in this car. If anyone here ends up buying it, let me know.
