Byron, that could work, tho I'm not really sure. I guess I need to measure the holes. I'm also not sure if they (the holes) are in the correct spot. Do you know the spacing on that mirror? Do you have one or two? PM me info. Thanks for the help, Mark

The 'green dot' Talbot mirror is a later version which would not have originally been fitted to a '65 911 - it would have been the earlier version with the logo stamped into the metal.

Byron, I will measure my holes.

Andy, what are the various mirrors that would have been used, factory or aftermarket that would be "cool" on an early Hotrod? Is it possible to have a right side mirror that even works or is all for show bc the view is blocked? Referring to LH drive hear.

Mark - I think your only 2 options are either the smaller round Durant mirror or a Talbot Berlin.

If you fit a right side mirror of either type it will have to be mounted further back compared to the driver's side mirror & in my opinion is of marginal use anyway.

Andy or anyone, does anyone have any links to "cheap" mirrors that will work on our cars. I don't want to spend big bucks on mirrors right now. I can always upgrade later. Thanks

Mark - if you're not worried about originality at this stage you could fit a Talbot-style mirror - something like this:

If you search on ebay for 'bullet mirror' or 'racing mirror' you'll find lots of similar offerings.
