    LWB- Does the front lower valence need to be dropped to ..

    ... remove the front bumper strip? This is for a 73 911.

    If you mean the front bumper to body seal, yes you do.

    Sorry maybe not too clear- I want to replace the front rubber rub-strip across the front of the car.

    Actually, doing just about anything to the front bumper requires removal. It is quick and easy and then you have access. It can be put on a bench and you can work in a comfortable position, as well.

    Actually, doing just about anything to the front bumper requires removal. It is quick and easy and then you have access. It can be put on a bench and you can work in a comfortable position, as well.

    Just the rubber and no over-riders? Then you can do it on the car... for the S trim the ends have screw studs that go thru the bumper, don't know about narrow trim. Remove the nuts and peel the rubber trim off the aluminum base. To re-install bend the rubber trim over on itself to get the rubber lips to spread, and apply to the aluminum base. Loads of fun to do, but less hassle than realigning the bumper.

    I've got a 73 with the big black baby buggy over riders .... so I will replace the them and the individual wide decor pieces with an S one-piece. So ... after the BBBB over riders are taken off I won't have to remove the front lower valance?
