    WTB: OEM ducktail

    Hi all,
I'm looking to replace the fiberglass lid on a '74 Carrera with an original. The original tail was swapped out at some point in the 70's and more recently replaced with a fiberglass replica by a PO. It doesn't sit right (literally and figuratively) and I would like to get it back to "original" with a real tail. If you're able to help out, please PM me with details and price. Thanks, Mako.

Try disconnecting the the shock, most lids wont sit correctly with it connected ( lifted up on the left side). Also a metal frame can be added underneath. any more questions call call at AASE sales.

THanks Kaleid, by the time I saw your post last night and looked over there it was taken already. Appreciate the tip!
Hi Ron, yea, noticed that already. I wasn't sure if it was flex or the lighter weight that kept it from sitting down correctly - particularly on the driver's side. So, yup been done... but I still have a compulsion to put it back to original. Thanks.

bump. Anyone have one to sell?

Anyone, except for jdox, who is obviously a scam: never actually refers to the "item" by name; and in a very amateurish move uses two different names for the same user account (the first one already being exposed over at PP).

It will be a lot better if you send me an e-mail in case you are still in the market for the needed part(s). I can also call if you let me have your cell phone number. E-mail me on timlivingstone85@gmail.com
