Did Arm Rests Change During MY68?

    Friends,

We always seem to find new minutia to explore, and it seems the the '68 model year is often the culprit, so here's another one...

Both of the '67 armrests (driver and passenger) appear to have a seam running the full length of the armrest. In fact, other threads have noted that the 'original' armrests had the seams, and that the lack of a seam meant that the armrests were likely 'recovered'/re-upholstered.

However. I also have '68 armrests without the seam. I know that these armrests have NOT been recovered.

Does anyone know whether there was a MY68 running change?

Thank you for the additional knowledge.

Yes the 68 arm rest is different than the 67. It is also slightly larger than its younger brother.
