How long should a CoA take?

The owner of the '69 S I'm helping sell ordered one about 6 weeks ago and nothing has shown up.

Just curious if this is typical.

I ordered one on 3/4 that I received yesterday.

Figure and additional 2-3 weeks after receipt for the "correct " version. Tha last 3 I received required a second COA to correct errors.

When I ordered mine last year they told me it would take a few extra weeks due to the large number of requests they had.

The timing of these seems to depend on who is doing the processing. I've had the come very fast and some that take forever. They can be rife with errors.

One thing you can do is to call them for the results (in advance of printing) which they can typically give in about two weeks.

How does one know there are errors? Unless you have owned the car since new, how do you know something hasn't been changed by a PO even though you were told it wasn't? If there is an error, how do you convince Porsche that there is an error?

Mine looks to be correct as my car is minimally equipped; however, I have heard funny things like an airbag showing up on C of A, which is obviously not correct. The translations are the problem I think.

Here's a few :COA paint doesn't match door tag, Year of manufacture, a year later than original German Title, Date of manufacture is 9 months into next model year, Targa being stated as a coupe.
A lot of value gets tied to that piece of paper.

Once I called, it took a week for them to get back to me. Over the phone, they'll tell you whatever will be on the COA(ie. numbers, options, color). It then took another two weeks until I received the actual COA in the mail. All in all, the entire process took about 3 weeks.
