    Driving shoe shortage

Has anyone tried to buy a new pair of Piloti driving shoes lately ? Here in SoCal, the size 10-12 sizes, seem to have dried up. I tried Googling, and there seems to be some smaller sizes, but, most men sizes are NLA. I had heard through the "grapevine" they went Chapter 7, so it appears to be correct and no longer rumor. These shoes are now collectors items...??

Yeah, one of these days he's going to get one of his 'driving shoes' wedged between the accelerator and brake pedals and go for a little off-road excursion ....

Too bad about Piloti. They were the king of casual driving shoes.

They were sentimental Fav's. Long story, but it goes way back to early Rgruppe owiginals. Sorry to hear that.

Just last evening I spent about an hour with the founder and former owner (an R Gruppe member) and we talked all about what happened to Piloti. In short, the business was purchased out of bankruptcy by Canadian Tire which is now working on bringing the brand back from near extinction. However, you may not be seeing much Piloti here in the US for quite a while while the brand is restructured.

It really is a sad story because the product was so good and a lot of good, hard-working people lost everything.

However, there is another driving shoe product on the horizon from the former Piloti husband and wife team ... although there is no time frame for its release.
