Looks nice! I'd ditch the Summit sticker.

Looking good Mark! I like how you mounted the coils to a bracket-- this will also serve as a heatsink because those Bad Larrys will get HOT during a race!

Also it is not lost on me that you are using the Factory's aircleaner. I don't think the rules make you do this, I think it's because the dyno tells you to?

An old German engineer that worked for Porsche race team says Porsche spent a small fortune developing this cleaner. We added a little more technology. I ram air through the quarter windows, through a chill box then into the air cleaner which is blocked off. I was able to up my mains, hence more power. i also chill the fuel in the box also.

I once saw a 356 with the roof cut off and a big aluminum tube running from the front headlight, diagonally all the way through the cockpit, back to a cold airbox in the engine compartment! Talk about ram air! I would be interested in the manifold pressure rise you experience at speed.

It's funny when you see NACA ducts on the side of race cars-- these were invented to allow air inlet without causing boundary layer separation at transonic speeds. At earth-bound speeds, the best inlet would be a big honking piece of sewer pipe hung out in the airstream-- more drag, but high pressure! Most guys opt for low drag at the sacrifice of increased airflow into the engine or across their oil coolers.

It would be quite simple to rig up a MAP gauge to tell. Anyway, good for you for sticking with the aircleaner!

The Fiat 850 Spiders and Abarths would run this setup in H Production back in the 70s and 80s. We always thought it was funny looking, but it was functional.
