Truly gorgeous wheel Mark,
Would this also be known as a Pre-Momo 1?
Cheers,

Thanks. Not pre MOMO. Karl Ludvigsen and Martin Siskind, owners of Formula 1 Enterprises commissioned Moretti to make these wheels for them back in late 1966-67 and a few years beyond. Made lots of variations but they're all Momos.

Thanks Mark,
Do you mind me asking what Pre-Momo would be?
Cheers,
Darren

Hey Darren... Pre-Momo wheels are wheels Moretti made prior to the official formation of Momo... that was 1966. It's not clear exactly what wheels are pre-momo but the wheels I've had that I know were pre-Momo have a unique stamping on the back... but, not all of them have these stampings and some don't have any stampings so it can be very difficult to identify one...see photos
Bottomline... wheels Moretti made between 1963-1965-66 are pre-momo. They are super rare.
