    I just add some more pics / Info

    Because sometimes I wonder, when I see all these high end and expensive engine rebuilds ,
    Then I see they use there old tank, many of which have corroded over the years.

    this tank is copper plated as org, it is bespoke made for 911 RSRs and allows cars to run at least 10% more oil than a standard 911 oil tank.

    The downside is carrying the extra weight of 2 litres of oil :-) but more oil means a much lower oil temperature

    It's also called an Oil Pressure Relief Valve (Thermostat) Allows cold oil to initially flow back to the oil tank, rather than forward to the oil cooler. Thick, cold oil would damage the cooler. Wonderful parts Marek. Wish they were available when I built the Sunoco Car :-)
