2+2/4 seater (approx 1967/68) never seen before in literature

Recents magazine articles show the warehouse where the factory stores prototypes.
All show more or less the same cars.
However, in a recent french online article portraying the site, one caught my eye.

Even four 2+2/4 seater prototypes (T7/TroutmannBarnes/Pininfarina/LWB-factory.tangerine2.2S) are well known,
this white one below I beleive was never documented by any literature.
By judging the door handles, must be around 1967/68. Most likely a "maquette", just a roller.

Fascinating that they kept it... as a styling exercise it's pretty awful, the roofline looks cribbed from the MGB GT.

If it's a clay mock up are the black lines around the windows and rear tape? What website posted this photo?

The visitor actually misinterprets the car in designating it an (1963) T7, but it looks more like 67/68.
Which would make it the earliest factory 2+2/4seater try, maybe built right after the 67S TroutmanBarnes car - or just before.

This is the (only) journalist picturing this early 911 mock up while visiting.

did you scroll all the way down to the bottom of that page ?

a bunch of very unique styling designs.

I was particularly enamored with the Mercedes 500 E Mule sporting the Design 90 rims, and the really deep spoiler on that 944, only seen on a few race variants.

We saw them building those 500E models, and a whole lot full of them when there at Weissach, Stuttgart , and Zuffenhausen back in the day...... awesome memories

as to the unique style of the mock up 911 4 seater, am sure glad that didn't get the go ahead.
It IS rather unique all the same, and best viewed thru these eyes in a backward, appreciative glance.

just don't hold that gaze too long

A Texas Porsche dealer hired coachworks builder Troutman & Barnes to create this one-off 911 four-door. (Photo credit: Mad4wheels)
Excellence Magazine did a feature on this car in the past.
Troutman & Barnes are the people who created the panel that fits between the rear bumpers. When the car was shown others wanted it and it was turned into a aftermarket product.

I hadn't before, so I just did. I think their musty old attic may be as interesting as the museum

I seem to remember the Troutman/Barnes car (in green) was featured on the cover of Road & Track back in the day.
