Dumb question - do you need any special tools to remove the steering wheel from a '66? Thanks in advance, b

Nothing special, but after all these years the nut can be tough to break loose. An impact driver will make short work of it and I'd highly recommend using one.

    Bruce,
You will need a 27mm socket and ratchet. If the wheel has not been off in a while, you may need an impact to break it loose. Leave the nut on by a few threads, when you start working the wheel off by pulling one side then the other, it will pop loose. The nut will keep the wheel from hitting you in the face. . Don't lose the washer on the front or the spring on the back.
