SWB Batwing question

I refinished my early steering wheel magnesium batwing in glossy black and wonder if this is the right colour. Looks almost too shiny, wonder if it should of been satin black. Anyone know a definitive answer.

Glossy is correct.

It is for sure, I tried to have mine welded and it just melted. Bought another with a dent in it and tried to gently warm it with a torch to take the dent out and the section melted also. My cure was to cut good sections from one and JB Weld and blend them into the other one.

I think you'll find they're made from die-cast zinc (mazak) ...
