WTB: Door Pocket trim - I REALLY messed up - hoping for sympathy help

I posted on pelican a few days ago.. so sorry for the duplicate post.
I was almost done restoring some very beat up 69-73 pocket trim, when I tried to go a little further to smooth out the 1/16" dimples left over from hammer / dolly work
when applying to a pocket, it split like a chicken bone... so desperate for help finding driver side rear trim (no matter how rough)

    help!

I think I have given up - now the plan is to braze the crack from the inside and fare from the outside.

Are you looking for a pocket or trim?

I know this sounds crazy, but have you considered chrome door edge guards at pep boys or any auto retailer like that? Use heat to bend, it beats nothing.

    thanks - the trim
the trim is what I faired too thin while striving for that last 1% of perfection, which resulted in the fracture

thanks yes I have, but the other trim pieces look great in raw brushed aluminum - and the other issue is that the rear of the trim piece is closed

Perhaps the source for repop door pockets might sell a piece of trim?
