1965 Wheels, all chrome or not?

I apologize if this has been covered but can someone confirm if chrome wheels were an option or standard on a 65 model year car?

    Thanks in advance- Richard

Most of the marketing photos show the cars with painted wheels. The chrome wheels were readily available -same as the 356- Lemmerz and KPZ both made them.
Someone, maybe Eric, posted a price list of the options.

There is a neat way to search this site : go to Google search enter: site:early911sregistry.org (enter the words you want to search in this case options 1965). What comes up? It seems to have a very good search of our site.

The Monte Carlo 911 started the rally January 1965 on painted and when it finished the event it was on chrome wheels - most likely for the photo opp.

    Try here:

Post # three has a doc file with all the info. Good reading. $72 for the five chrome wheels.

    Jim Alton posted it.
