    1969 911 id

    Hi All,

    I'm trying to find out what this 911 is. Chassis Nr. 129022267, and engine replaced with Nr. 6270573.
    1969 wide body 911S?

    It's a 69 912 body with a 77 911S engine.

    Comments? Well, it's a 912 converted to 911 with ah, shall we say, an engine not beloved by all Porsche folks and converted to look like something as far from a 912 as possible... so... lets just say it represents a lot of money spent without increasing the intrinsic value of the chassis. IMO, of course.

    It was being advertised as a 1969 911S. It is listed on ebay as a 912 though....
    thanks for the info...I'm learning, stumbling along the way, but this group has been a BIG help!
