    Balsahood and aluminum decklid

    Hi

Do you use the stock locking mechanism together with a balsahood or a aluminum decklid? Or do you only use the rubber straps? My concern is whether the hood or decklid will be damaged from the force of closing the lid/hood.

    Sincerely,
    Johan

Stock on my 2,2S alu deck lid. Would not be too concerned about how fragile it is. My lid even had a heavy AC condenser and handled the weight pretty well.

I use the stock locking mechanism together with my balsa hood and deck lid from TRE/Getty. No rubber straps, no problems so far.
