I get it but still shake my head.
As a mechanic it's comical to hear the term "Concours Screwdrivers". I still have a 10,000 volt screwdriver on my desk that actually gets used to remove and install screws. Sacrilege!
True Frank, but do you think I would use any tools in my NOS SWB tool kit? Answer is *no*, actually its not even in a car, it's locked in a safe.
The 10,000V screwdrivers (concours) are going to NY.

What's the point of holding on to screw drivers you don't use. Selling them and using them to remove screws makes much more sense.

I use mine all the time. I actually find it enjoyable to use my toolkit when working on my car. It's amazing how useful it is considering it's size and contents. Porsche designed an ingenious car.
I have some concours oil just in case anyone is interested...
Together with the factory air in the tires?

The proper tool for no job ever again. Huh? Some one on the 356 registry figured out that the tool kit is the most expensive/valuable part of a speedster by weight. I once owed a 58 GT speedster and the toolkit, assembled separately, sold for 10G's! And that was six years ago. How much now? I have an original VDM GT flat 356A steering wheel for GT's and 550's, optional for street cars, would not take less than 10G's for it. My early steering wheel collection would probably pay for a nice early car! Just the way it is. I too used my original tools though, no concours stuff They were used hard and put away wet. Ever change plugs on a 4cam? The factory jointed plug wrench is the best. I think that tool alone cost me 500USD. Original not repro.
