FS: Set of 1969 S Pistons / Cylinders

This is a rare set of original Mahle 2.0L Pistons & Cylinders

The cylinders are Biral & the pistons are forged, 80mm diameter.

The cylinders are in excellent condition, with, amazingly, no broken fins, no bent fins, and no corrosion.

Each piston is still mated with its cylinder as removed from the engine.

The cylinder cross-hatching is still visible, although it is reduced compared to new parts. I consulted a Porsche machinist regarding these and he stated that the cylinders are within specifications, but recommended 'de-glazing' the cylinders prior to use. The rings that are included are matched to the cylinders they ran in, and you may choose to re-use them.

The rings are OEM Goetz type rings and were run in on the cylinders which were freshly honed only 35 race hours ago. The engine these came from was meticulously maintained and run in vintage racing over the last several years.

The pistons are of course forged original Mahle, with the rings, wrist pins and circlips still present. There is some light scratching on the skirts of the pistons, but it's not significant. The ring gaps are within specifications.

There is no "damage", cracks, or missing parts in this set. This is a very rare opportunity for original parts in this condition!

I know for sure these pistons & cylinders were used in the 1969 911S. The piston forging #, although this is not definitive, is "80P26E" (stamped inside).

    Looking for $2200...obo

    regards
