Need help on Headlight wiring issues 72T

Having some wiring issues with my new car and am clueless on German wiring. Found some wiring diagrams and suspect it may be a relay or switch issue. Wanting some fatherly advise before barking up the wrong tree.
Photos show lights on low and high beam with driver side looking like its not grounded. Pulled the headlight bulbs and switched sides. They check out ok. Fuses look ok and meter show its grounded. Headlight were working fine up until a few days ago. Any ideas?

Use your volt meter and see if you have equal voltage to both sides. If not go right to the fuse box and see if you have equal voltage directly from the fuse terminals.

It is possible that even though the meter shows ground, that the ground connection is insufficient for the amperage the lamp draws. It wouldn't hurt to clean the ground connection at the chassis.

Where do the headlights connect to ground on the harness? At the fuse panel on the driver's side?

They ground to a stud on the outside of the battery box (one on each side).

That is where I found the problem. There was no grounding wire to driver's side stud so I ran a single brown wire from the plug to that grounding stud and that solved the issue. Thanks for the help!
