    Transmission ID

Can anyone identify transmission serial no 2280944 as to what type it is and if it's an LSD, unfortunately the last part of the type number is illegible, is starts with 901/0 and an MFG date of 10/68.

    Type 901/03 5 speed with A F M S Z gearset.
I don`t think an LSD was available then, or if so, very rare.

    ID'ing a Trans

Regarding trans IDs, here's an old thread that lists types + ratios fitted --- see post #5 . . .

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ht-data-needed

Keep in mind that the listing is for '69 . . . but, hopefully, the designations aren't too different

Regarding LSD, on my '70, '|10' after the trans type indicates that it's fitted
