Note: This is a new auction link. Ebay removed my first auction because they thought I was selling a vehicle title without a car. Apparently they did not bother to read the full description. The vehicle title is still included in the auction with the chassis, I just can't post that on ebay.

Potential numbers matching 65 911 chassis included in auction

Due to many requests, I have decided to include the title for the car, the aluminum VIN plate located at the front of the boot lid, and what remains of the car chassis in the auction. The chassis is in horrible shape, and as a result the VIN stamping by the smugglers box and the VIN plate on the inner side of the drivers door no longer exist. That being said I am under the impression, that this would be a numbers matching 65 911 if they did. I know that the engine has existed with the car since 1974, so any engine swap if it happened would have had to have been done before that year, and I find it hard to believe that someone would happen to also swap in a 65 engine by chance.

I do not have a certificate of authentication from Porsche stating that it is numbers matching because, I do not believe that one can create a numbers matching car with just one VIN number. That being said, I am not an expert on what certifies a numbers matching car and some of you might feel otherwise.

If the buyer wants what remains of the chassis only the rusty steel sheet metal is included. None of the chrome trim, rims, front fenders, bumper, interior, etc. is included. Only an empty shell missing all but one of the VIN numbers.

    Potential Numbers mattching swb 911

I have had numerous requests for the entire vehicle to be included with the auction, so I have decided to include the Vehicle title, the Front VIN plate, and what remains of the chassis with the auction. Note, the body is heavily corroded, and the door frame VIN and smugglers boot VIN no longer remain, so I am not aware if this vehicle still qualifies as a numbers matching chassis. Also, I do not have a certification of authenticity from Porsche certifying whether this vehicle is numbers matching. Both the engine and chassis numbers do correspond to 65 serial numbers however though, so I am under the impression that it is numbers matching. I am not trying to scam anyone here, and I do not want a buyer to attempt to forge a numbers matching car if it can not be done morally and legally with the existing parts.

That being said, if no one is interested or it is not possible to create a numbers matching car without all three VIN plates. I look forward to having the drivetrain go to a good home for someone that needs a full engine transplant.
