Lightbulb SPAM, what to do... and not

    Gentelman,

Please DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT respond to obvious SPAM on the board... It's SO much easier for me to delete, & ban permanently, violators when their threads are singular. It's too easy for me to screw up and ban the responder as well.

Some 'spammers' have become much more sophisticated and will infiltrate established threads... but for the most part they just start a thread with their crap.........

I'm usually on the board a least 7 times a day ..... I'll get'm ... And if I miss one for the good part of the day please PM me...

    Cheers,
    Chuck

I've never seen any spam on this board. I mean.. its not anything that appears like obvious spam. I would guess there is a better chance that you see them and erase them before we see them... so thanks.

    Yep Tito,

We have pretty good filters that keeps it from your eyes, then I come in and manually zap'm (mostly 1 to about 12 a day) ... but every once and awhile one gets through.

Chuck, unfortunately spam from robo's or nickle posters is a constant of site management, so we appreciate your daily cleanups.

The safest thing for anyone that sees an obvious spam post is click the "report" icon in the lower left of the reply bar.
Consider any link in a spam post computer herpes... you can't get it if you don't invite it in.

    Tito.
+1. I can't recall seeing any. Can't we just use the "report post" (triangle with an exclamation point at the bottom of the post) and report them to you?
