Heater box hose in the original dull brown finish?

Does anyone know the source for the heater box hoses in the original dull brown finish? PN 901-211-194-00 or 901-211-194-01. Stoddard and Pelican Parts both have these, but with black exterior finish instead of original. Can't seem to find any others.

    Thanks.

I would also like to know a source for these.
The ones I have on my 2,2S are nice and brown. The ones I ordered from Porsche for my other car looks like black plastic crap compared to the old ones.

I wonder if they black ones could be painted somehow to replicate the original finish?

HA! They're NOT brown when new! They're a sorta dull grey/black......the brown is funky age "patina"

Sierra Madre has the real stuff.

My guess would be no. The surface is different. The new ones are smooth "plastic", the old ones feels like covered with a soft material (sorry, canīt explain this better in english..)

Yes, inspected my brothers car this evening and they are just like you describe. On my car they are "funky brown".

Could someone post a close up picture of the ones at Sierra Madre?? Not possible to see much on their site. I have to see it to believe it...

These are paper-metal foil combo, they start out black and turn brown over time, you should be thinking of painting them flat black if you want them to look "new"

During our Restorations we strip and re coat the heater pods the correct colour. The heater pipes should be dark brown not black like currently sold from Porsche. We have a source for the correct colour pipe but we are in the UK.

Thank you for teaching me new words! Paper-metal foil combo sounds cool, now I can impress my Norwegian friends

Here is the answer from Jorge at Sierra Madre:
We have the correct 60mm diameter "paper" exterior and aluminum inner liner hot air hose but it's 370mm and not 380mm. Would 370mm long work?? Please confirm.

So: Would 370mm work on all our cars?? OEM is 380mm

@ Alan: The way I understand you had a UK supplier for these hoses? Please post a picture if you have the chance.

    Thanks!

Has anyone come up with a verdict on these tubes? I managed to mangle the end of my perfect tube today while making sure it was on the HE all the way
