Thread: This site is blocking IP addresses

This site is blocking IP addresses

I'm seeing access failures regularly on certain internet connections. My Comcast connection and various other connections regularly 404. These seem to be IP addresses in newer blocks.

My cell phone and work connections never fail.

Is this site using Navvis data to block unverified source IPs to keep hack attacks down? If so, either update the data or tell Navvis to update their list of safe IPs ASAP. This is getting painful.

Then it is your hosting provider doing filtering somewhere up the pipe.

Either way, you are inadvertently blocking more and more people accessing the site and that us bad for revenue.

    Well played, sir. Well played.

I should have said, "Can you really trust a guy who wears Filet-O-Fish?"

FWIW, this site is still IP blocking some requestors. I am getting soooooo sick if having to browse this site from my phone at home.

It HAS to be at the hoster's front line, which would explain why it is transparent to the site admin.

What does the hoster charge a month? I am sure that I can get you guys better service, cheaper.
