Hagerty Insurance has become horrible to deal with...who are you using?

We have a small collection of cars. Hagerty has become arrogant and difficult to deal with. Without going into more details...whom are you using?

For me Leland West has been a pleasure to deal with for the last nearly 20 years. I've only had one claim, about 7 years ago, which they handled to my great satisfaction. Not hassling me or my chosen shop doing the work...

I am currently dealing with the same Company that I have used for decades. I did have a substantial claim a couple of years ago and they handled it painlessly and professionally and to my complete satisfaction...................Hagerty Insurance.

Heacock all the way! You find out just how good an insurance co is after you've gone through a sizeable claim with them. Unfortunately I had to do this recently.
Nothing but great things to say about Ford, Pete, Gary, and their staff!

I had Hagerty for my Carrera 2 and some of the RGruppe guys had Chubb so I got a quote from
Chubb and it was for the same coverage agreed value and the quote was half of what I was
paying Hagerty very easy to deal with. If anone is interested I can furnish a contact name and
    number.

    Hi Guys,

Hagerty was twice as much as everyone else and were very nasty on the phone. I checked in with my F-Car buddies and the name that kept coming up was indeed...Chubb. I guess Hagerty just re-marks Chubb insurance products.

Thanks for the feedback as always. Word to the wise, avoid Hagerty.

I just switched from American Collectors to Leland, almost half the cost of what I was paying and the phone reps have been a pleasure to deal with so far.

I have more than 30 cars insured with Hagerty and have always been pleased with their service. That said, I've never had a claim and I certainly don't feel like they're a bargain.

The one thing I DO really like is their web site functionality - the ability to add or remove cars, change coverages, print my insurance docs - that's something I wouldn't want to give up. Can any of you who do business with the other companies mentioned in this thread tell me if they have comparable online tools?

I have been very happy with Hagerty for years, but recently I felt like I got interrogated about how I kept my cars. A whole lot of innuendo from the phone rep, as if I wasn't being honest. They went so far as to question what type of repair facility I'd take the car to, etc. I thought it was me, but looks like others may have had similar experience.

I also guess with the increased interest in classic cars, they may be really busy. Good to see options here.
