When did the wood dashes stop being used?

I wondered about that after seeing a 69 912 that had one but retrofitted by the owner. So it begs the question.
there is a 67 912 currently being offered with a wood dash, so was 67 the last year we see this feature?

912s never had the wood dash as OE... Someone correct me but 1966 was the last year for teak wood on the dash of the 911.

Of course everything could be ordered at the factory, but indeed I have never seen a 912 with a factory wooden dash.

And have fun with all the opinions on whether it was teak or not.

It's really of little interest to me what manner of wood it really is. The early magazine reviews referred to it as Teak... That's where it ends for me. Wood dashes ceased in '66 MY...

I believe there is a growing camp that thinks those early comments were wrong, and that it was in fact African Mahogany.

    It is quarter-sawn African mahogany.
