    Body Plugs

I am after the black rubber (7mm) conical plugs that go along the underside floor pan (centre and some at the side) of the 911 (N) 1968. Is there a Porsche source for these? I could not see them on Pelican or the other usual places. This may be an English problem of course with different descriptors (plugs, grommets, etc) being used.

I believe that you may be looking for the plugs discussed in this thread (with almost the same title)

Thanks Kent. The earlier thread was about plastic plugs and the rubber VW ones at the end are very hard to find also around here. Still trying.

It looks like these rubber underbody plugs for the 68 and some other models, are no longer available. No replies here that suggest otherwise. PP and SM, etc., also seem to report them as NLA. The VW ones, if they can be sourced, may be the option for those restoring these cars.

I copied the post below from the thread referenced above. The plugs mentioned below will definitely work. I just bought one for the fan shroud hole. The only tiny difference is that the flat rubber disk portion appears to be slightly thinner than the original ones in the center tunnel of my 73. Think dime thickness as opposed to nickel ( I hope you have some concept of US coins, otherwise my analogy is crap). They are like half as thick (diameter is spot on, but the rubber is thinner). That being said, they would work fine and it would be frankly impossible to tell, so I think that's a good solution.

my 72 has black rubber plugs.
there is no listing in PET for a replacement.
    however,
stoddard sells a superceded part 999-703-013-50 "rubber plug" @ $0.87.
this plug is listed as a fan shroud air duct plug, but is identical to the floor pan plug as far as i can tell.
    IIRC,its what i used.
maybe purchase one to be sure, stoddards shipping costs are very reasonable for small items

I also used the Stoddard plug.
It fits the floor pan center line, the fan shroud and the engine grill too!
