In Dec I had a deal for a '69E Targa in ice green--driver quality. Even though it broke down on our test run I met his price--40K. So I wait a month while he sorts out the MFI, then on the way to the final PPI and sealing the deal, he calls and says "sorry sold". For more $ sight unseen--meaning prob over the pond. What is that?
Nobody even does PPIs anymore? The market is that crazy? Just buy'em?
So we're all looking for a quality car--but now, only 4 mos later, the market demands 50-60K for the same example. So I'm still asking, what is that?

I am not looking for a concours car but at least a good quality driver, matching, good paint and engine, similar to the one for sale at memory lately.

Yes it's getting crazy, when they takes time to sell there is often some problem with the car and I used to inspect myself or by using a good company to get a PPI but now you don't even have the time to do it then it's sometimes hard to figure what will be the car you'll get at the end when it land to Europe, so you have to trust the seller 200%
    and cross fingers !!
