    73 911 RS Sells for $500K

Beautiful 1973 911 RS sells for half a million. This has to be good (trickle down effect) for all us long hood owners.

There are recent private sales out there that have already exceeded that...

    Right up there with:

"1967 911S Soft Window Targa just sold for $60k!"

Are you that guy who just woke up from a 3 year coma?

I was just going to say the same thing. While this will not hurt the long hood market at all, it's not as big of a milestone that the original posted may have thought.

Not all flippers make $. Road Scholars magazine has an article on flipping. You can make money but not everyone does.

Flippers generally don't buy at auctions. They're big fans of Craig's list. That's where the real bargains are. Maybe eBay but I'm not real sure about that.

I was at Bonhams in Greenwich a couple weekends ago.. and an 73rs sold for something like 550 + fees... to my untrained eye, looked to be a "nice car" but I'm far from an expert
