    Thumbs down Prescott Kelly thread...

From a simple question you turned into a pre-school game of 'telephone'... that ended up asking if this member of our community is still alive............

    Wonderful………….

Some of you have the 'church-giggles' right now... but I trust most have not.

This is supposed to be a fun and passionate information source... not a place for bullies and mischief

    Chuck,

With all due respect, how far have we come when we turn simple humor (This just in: We are all going to die some day) into bullying, the current popular buzzword for anything that someone does that another person doesn't like?
I think we all know Prescott is alive and well and probably enjoying his favorite alcoholic beverage or soft drink right now in his favorite happy place.

Sheeeesh. All of this PC crap and ultra sensitive behavior is going to turn us men into an even more emasculated bunch of wimps than we already are. If we can't make a simple joke about death then what's next? We can't talk about the day when we're so old and jacked up that we'll have to sell our beloved cars? Birth, life, death and everything in between is worth poking fun at sometimes. You want to talk about passion? Let's be passionate for everything in life, not just our cars.

How about we take a lesson from the great and whimsical Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) who famously said: "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated".

    I'm done.

    So Chuck... How's things?

It's a fine line but I think it's better to get it wrong than to stop being prepared to attempt humour.
Well said in the previous quote. That's no criticism of Chuck, just a plea to excuse bad gags, none of us are professional, we're just people trying to have a personal relationship around a shared passion.

So, if I read this right ... Prescott Kelly sold Magnus Walker a used car, and Mark Twain is still alive and was at the Lit Meet dressed as Jerry Seinfeld?
