    Rhd ac hose routing pictures

    Currrently installing an AC system on a RHD. Need some pictures showing the routing and placement of the lines through the smugglers box, drier to evaporator and back to the condensor under the engine lid. My goal is to set these as close to the originals. Any pictures will help. Thanks guys. Freddie

    Freddie,

    The short answer is,speaking for the AUS rhd market,there was no factory aircon unit until after the shorthoods became available.
    All the a/c units here were aftermarket and while the local makers / installers were good for the local GM / Ford iron,the unit and installation they adapted for the early 911s would have made top 10 at the annual butchers picnic !
    I don't believe the effectiveness of the units would have been all that good as the layout of the 911 only became effective with the major redesigns of the dashes / bulkheads of the SC and onwards evolutions.
    I cant speak for the UK market but I suspect it was similar in their early 911s.
    Is there a specific reason for this installation ?
