FS: Early 911S Koni Struts Date Code 48/72 and 28/73

Have this nice set of 3.5 inch Koni struts. Part numbers 911.341.079.10 amd 911.341.080.10. They are clean and painted. Couple nicks from moving around but you will never know after a few miles. $700.00 OBO plus shipping (and sales tax in CA). Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, but it is only part of the upgrade. You would require S calipers, vented rotors, and hubs for vented rotors. If you already have vented rotors, then you are in good shape. You also need the spindle nut since the Koni has a fine thread; hopefully this would be included. Also required are the Koni strut inserts for these particular struts.

Thank you for the detailed reply !! I don't think I meet these requirements !

They are a great upgrade, and you can use the A calipers which are less costly than the S calipers used in period. Jonathan could probably put together a package with all the parts necessary.

Just curious, I have some S calipers somewhere, what else would be needed to install on a SWB or pre 69 chasis?

    Thanks,

    Dan

You would need to get some 69 and later a-arms first. Then it is just a matter of building out the struts with the correct brake parts. Bearings, seals, rotors, hubs, caps and brake lines. I do have everything you would need if you would like me to put together a package. Let me know.

    Jonathan,

Can you confirm that these take the wedge style ball joint, rather then the pinch?

I'm uncertain of the year that they changed.

    TIA
    Tony

I don't see a split in the lower end for the pinch bolt. I have a similar dated set of struts, and they are wedge bolt style. I think the change came earlier in 1972 during the 72 model year.

    Wedge Bolt, not pinch.
