    I'm shocked

at the asking and selling prices! It has finally gotten my attention. 250G's for a 72S? It's like fly fishing. You can throw bugs all day but it takes the right pattern to get fish to come up and have a look. With the asking and selling prices lately, I'm now looking. Thinking seriously of selling out. I'll probably start with my 40yr collection of 356A trinkets and go up the list from there. My 73S has everything from day 1, barely 100,000 mi, cool color combo, docs and books, only one repaint by Stoddards when Piech had the premiere dealers. And , its Italian with all the cool euro stuff. It's got to be worth big bucks! No! Wait a minute, I own it. But somehow if Roads, or EC or Canepa has it it will be worth double. I do not freeking get it! I do not care about provenance. A good car is a good car. As Tom Sithot says, I do not care who farted near the car. Let's see what have I done for provenence? HMMMMM can't think of anything. I guess my little fleet of Porsches will have to suffer the hit of no name ownership. I'll start with a pair of 356A pickle fork windshield wipers for a T2 speedster. Absolutely the real deal! $2000USD. They are cheap cause they are mine. Act fast. If Roads had'em they would be twice that. I appologize for another value comment but I'm now shocked, 250 G's for a 72S...

Just think what you could get for the 1132 Honda snowblower; I bet they did not make many that year.

I'm still pissed that I sold my Speedster too soon.

Hmmm...another "can't believe what I have is worth...." Sell it all and buy a so-so RS or have a modest dow npayment for a 550 (Porsche that is). Oh and don't forget that if you were fortunate to buy long ago, set aside 28% of your windfall for your favorite Uncle/Partner.

The only ones who really will make out are Insurance Cos for all the increased premiums and the IRS when you sell. Once you sell they (your babies) are gone and your heirs will spend the money. Oh, but don't forget the additional Death Tax that the Friggin IRS rat bastards will come looking for on top of the income taxes you already have paid.

    250k? I thought I saw a missing decimal point on a 67S, at something like 425k...

I Wonder what percentage of early S forumites are being priced out of their hobbies. At least hose who wished to have an early car one day must be freaking out. I know I am.
