1974 911 Targa Carrera - How to bring it back to life???

I have inherited my dad's Porsche, that he fixed up and added newer model year things to over the years...

He added air conditioner, changed the style of lights, different mirrors, instead of the duck tail it has the large whale tail with rubber along the edges...

I want to pull it out of my mom's garage and get it running again. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but I wanted to know where to take it to have someone look at it and tell me what to do?

I could be talked into taking it back to original, or I could be talked into making it look and drive sweet....

    Suggestions?

I live in Bellevue, and the car is in Maple Valley. It was in SoCal from the late 70's to about 6 years ago when he brought it up here... Its always been sitting alot, and its always been in a garage.

I'll try and find some pictures, or go and take some of the car the next time I am able...

Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas?

    Thanks,

    Shane

    Hi Shane:

Welcome to this little corner of the web. There are a couple of really good shops on the Eastside who are knowledgeable and can provide honest guidance, as well as do any work you want. There are also some good guys on the other side of the lake, if that is somehow preferable. PM me if you want details.
