Tire gauges for LWB and early G-series? Messko, Drager, MotoMeter?

I've searched around and haven't seen a definitive thread on tire gauges. Hopefully we can bring more clarity to what was actually used for different years.

The following seem to be quoted as appropriate LWB tire gauges, including:

    * Red body Messko tire gauge (3.5 bar) with gray vinyl pouch
    * Black Dräger tire gauge (4.0 bar) with black pouch and instructions
    * Great body MotoMeter tire gauge (4.5 bar) with brown leather pouch

What were the rough years these were used? I hear different rumors on whether they were never included, sometimes in the glove box, and offered along with the spare tire compressor. Which is correct?

I thought the Messko was used up through end of SWB production, and probably phased out prior to LWB. If the Messko was phased out, what was used? The Dräger was supposedly included with the 1973 RS, though I can't find any photo of it in Konradsheim's book. The MotoMeter was introduced sometime in the 1970s, prior to 1974 and was available with the G-series and 3.0-liter 930 Turbo.

My understanding is that the tool kit in the SWB cars included a Messko. It was the same as the late 356 one: dark maroon with a dual scale of 0-50 and 0-3.5. It was housed in a vinyl pouch. At some point, perhaps with the introduction of the LWB cars, the Messko was no longer included in the kit. However, you could buy one from the dealership goodie store. It was a slightly lighter maroon color - some had the dual scale, some had a single 0-50 scale, and some had a single 0-3.5 scale.

Toward the end of the longhood era other tire gauges were introduced. Perhaps someone can fill things in.
