    ..........a touch of nostalgia

Finally had a free moment and a chance to root through the hard drive of an old PC to retrieve photos I failed to move onto my current unit, and came across the following from the Sunday Swap Meet of the 2007 LA Lit show weekend, held at a non-descrpt industrial park with a big parking lot in Los Angeles, if you'll recall.

I remember it was foggy as Hell when we first arrived, things were grossly disorganized, as the people in charge couldn't find the keys and were unable to open the gates, but it all came right just about the time Barry Williams arrived in his ultra rare, beautifully sorted and exquisitely maintained white '68 911T FIA Group 3 Coupe, one of six made that year. In Barry's care, that car became one of the most pure, authentic and most desirable early 911s ever on this board. I don't recall ever seeing a lot of detail photos published of this wonderful machine on this site, so I'm taking the liberty of posting a few photos of this unique treasure. Sadly, it's now in Europe, but that could change someday, Barry however is gone forever, and that's the real loss.

The day eventually turned out quite well actually, and I recall getting some outstanding deals and going home with a few items I really needed for Ruprecht.

    and the last three shots.

Please forgive the spotty quality of the photos, but I had just made the switch to digital and was on a steep learning curve.

Wonderful car, it was a major source of inspiration when I did my 911S.

    And let us remember Barry.
    Keep up the speed!
