    Angry Site problems

Wow, is the site ever slow today.
Try and post a message, and you get pop-up asking if you want to leave the page.
Then says you must wait to post a new message as if you are trying to double-post.
I notice that membership numbers have jumped from 16000 to 19000 in the last few days, so I guess that spammers are hitting us hard. Even see several banned members listed online at the same time.
I suspect our webmaster is working overtime to manage all of this; thanks for your efforts.

3pm eastern - still running at about 1/2 speed. Could it be a DOS attack?

I thought it was my browser so I tried another but the problem persisted. Thanks to those who are trying to help and hope it gets resolved quickly. I've never understood the philosophy of spammers - they must be closely related to graffiti "artists" and common vandals.
