looks fun. lots of original and non original stuff. I'd make it a driver.

Can't really assume that any "beater" SWB 911s (or 912s for that matter) exist anymore. I think that the word is out that these cars are going up in price. If it goes above $35k I would be surprised, but I said that on the other ebay '66 that didn't hit its reserve at $62k...

Bid to win, as they say...

I believe that your are incorrect. The engine # stated appears correct for the VIN. The 909xxx engines were 1967. Did you get the COA from them? If so, please post.

I would say that is probably the correct engine.

    My '66 is:

    VIN: 304088
    Engine: 907312

Also, the member who goes by his VIN (two before this car) has the following:

    VIN: 304065
    Engine: 907316

They are exceedingly close in all respects. You'll need a new set of gauges though... those are just nasty. ;-)

This car was probably build sometime between the 1st and the 14th of April 1966.

Why would the gauges and switches be replaced - think it's an electric fire short thing? I do like the non original drivers seat.

who knows with these cars. it's like someone said in the past... the 70's and 80's were not good to these cars. Someone probably liked his friend's 73T and wanted the gauges to look 'cool and modern'. Went to a swap meet and *pooof* 'modernized' for 50 bucks.

I also REALLY like that seat. rips and all.
