Which owner's manual cover for 1964 / 65

Hi,

I have many different versions of the red owner manual covers. They are all the same from the outside (red), but they are different from the inside. Some are red inside, too. Others are black, blue or grey from the inside. So what is the correct color for an early 1964 / 65 Porsche 911?

There was a recent thread discussion about this very topic, including pics.

I'm glad Soterik gave his opinion, I second that.
Because others told that it does not matter and they came in whatever color, impossible therefore to know.
I do think it matters, I do think they came first with inside red, as Soterik stated.

The covers based on the original cars that I have had were clear plastic not burgundy. They are unique to the first 911s.

Late T6C 356's had clear also, some did some did not.
