Recommendations- Best engine cleaner after oil leak

Found oil pressure sending unit mount loose and let oil leak. Luckily not a gusher, but I want to clean the area, from top down around interaction of cylinders to case. I was thinking of using a brake clean because it evaporates quickly and doesn't linger.

Anyone suggest a good cleaner that won't send harmful & smelly fumes into cabin from heater?

    Haasman,

I wouldn't use spray brake cleaner inside the engine compartment... There's usually a chlorine agent in it that will discolor/stain your anodizing and black sheet metal. Try using a liquid solvent and brush/paper towels first like mineral spirits/liquid hand cleaner... also try spray electrical contact cleaner.

    Hope this helps

P21S Total Auto Wash. Comes in a pump sprayer, won't hurt the aluminum. I use this on just about everything except breakfast cereal.

AH, good suggestions. Chuck good point about the chlorine agent and discoloration of painted parts. 304065, good old P21S, forgot about that. Thanks guys.

Again the idea is not to have some horrible smell when the heat goes on. BTW, so far the drip has basically missed the heat exchangers and has just run down the case sides.
