    Bumper trim removal recommendations

I am wanting to remove the trim front and rear on my original steel bumpers and re-paint for a cleaner look. Looking for recommendations on an easy/good way to plug the holes. Can I get away with body filler, better to use JB Weld and then finish with body filler or do I really need to weld plugs in. One of the reasons I would like to avoid welding is it would be easier to revert back if wanted. Thanks.

My opinion is that any 'temporary' fix will eventually crack or fall out, the holes need to welded. However unless you finish the back side you'll be able to spot the welds to drill out, or better yet just find another bumper to weld up saving your original in case you get customizers remorse
