Rennsport Australia - thumbs up, big time!

Well despite having my own small mishap on the track, I must say what a resounding success I thought Rennsport Australia was.

Cars, people, organisation and weather culminated in a fantastic time for everyone.

Congratulations Porsche Cars Australia and most notably Mr Webster. I hope that this becomes a regular event on the Motorsport calendar.

It was great to catch up with board members and put faces to names/avatars. Pleased to see inter-staters in attendance, including the white shoe brigade.

For those of you who weren't there I'm sure there'll be lots photos posted.

For those that follow the Group S racing at all, the small bumper 2.0 litre cars were peddled within an inch of their lives splitting many of the later 2.7's and 3.0litre cars. Congratulations to Wayne Seabrook and Alex Webster for setting 1.50 and 1.52 laps, those be cracking times for cars of this age and capacity...

Well Tim, Jeff and I (the white shoe guys) are still on the road as I type.

It was indeed an excellent weekend. Thank you to Ryan for trusting me to drive his speedster in peak Sydney traffic and AB for the drive of his RS rally car. It's wonderful that a retired gent like AB fits so much into his life.

    Matt, great photos as usual!

Well said AB. What a cracking weekend - congrats to Porsche Cars Australia (they couldn't have done it without AW!).

Lots and lots of cool metal to see, many for the first time. Excellent racing, dining, drinking, catching up with friends from near and far and much sh$t stirring and lie swapping. It was also my little bloke's first race meeting (he loved it).

My memory of the roof down with Fishie's bob flowing in the warm night air will stay with me a long time, a looooong (insert shudder down spine) time...

Ps. Apols for not bringing out you know what.

Great weekend, good to meet you guys, and see the cars, felt a bit left out without a car there, going to have to think about that for next time.
