    FS: Recaro swb tilting base

    This is an original passenger's side tilting base for a Recaro sports seat ('65-'68 swb models) or Recaro fixed bucket seat ('65-'73 models).

    It has some pitting & there is a 'gouge' - presumably where someone has used a cutting disc to remove a rusted/rounded mounting bolt.

    Ideally it needs blasting/refinishing but could certainly be used 'as is' in a driver.

    These original tilting bases are becoming very difficult to find in any condition & prices are only going one way.

    Set me straight, does this mean it is suitable for a drivers side 65-68 recaro seat in a Rhd car?

    yep, that would work on your driver's side with tilt going up towards the windscreen.

    Yes, Mike - as Richard said - can be used either for a driver's seat in a RHD car or a passenger's seat in a LHD car.
