    FS: @oldtimergalerie.ch - 1965 911 FIA Race car

was original US car, re-imported 1991 to Germany, then Swiss.

    http://www.oldtimergalerie.ch/d/aukt...steAuktion.htm

2-litre, 6 cylinder flat-engine, about 180 hp. 3'389 cars built (model year 1965). Porsche Certificate, Matching-Numbers. Delivered on May 17th 1965 to the USA. Imported into Germany in 1991, restored and modified into a race car with FIA passeport. Restored again between 1997 and 2000, painted in black, engine redone and uprated to about 180 hp. Receipts for DM 103'000.00 (about EUR 55'000.00) with the car. Imported into Switzerland in 2002, very few driven since, no races. Very good condition, big service to be done. The 1965 Porsche is extremely popular and sought after, as they are approved for all historic FIA races and almost every event. Perfect for historic races and Rallyes as well as for well known events as Tour Auto, Oldtimer Grand-Prix, Sixties Endurance Racing and many more. Old EEC paperwork. Last inspection as veteran car 09.2005.

Would be nice to see the Certificate, or at least know the VIN. If it was delivered May 17, 1965, then the VIN is likely under 301300 and a true 1965 model year.

I saw the car in person just before upload for auction. A nice car, good gaps, driverquality repaint, with some imperfection at the left rear and right frontfender. No visible rust.

Keep in mind this is a race prepared car with tuned engine, (non matching gearbox), no interior except racing-seats (cleaned for racing), racing tank etc.

Not a collectors car for originality freaks, but i think you have a lot of fun on the track.

Any interests: call Reinhard Schmidlin at Oldtimergallery Toffen, Switzerland. Hi is a nice and honest guy.
