Wheel and Tire thread! Lets see what you have and your specs.

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread on wheel and tire choices.
There are a lot of options out there and it would be gret to see what everyone is using.
Specs are important please include size width and offset. Tire sizes would be helpful too.
Hoping to see some rare wheels out there!

Here is my 1971T 3.0 with Fuchs 15x7 +23.3 all around. Tires are shot but some fresh
R888 205/50/15 fronts and 225/50/15 rears are on the wish list
    Cheers

Hi John and welcome aboard. Nice to see a Toronto based enthusiast, great city, I love Mosport park and will be there in a few weeks for the vintage event. Your post may not get too much traction because many people may have already responded to a similar thread primarily for wheels (not specifically tires). Take a look at this thread below and you'll see what I mean, and again, welcome:

Thanks for the heads up Luke. I searched and couldn't find anything. Some great pics in that thread!
The only thing missing is specs. I would really like to know offsets on some of the wheels posted.

Is there a consensus on what the max size/offset is for a narrow body car? Also what are the typical specs
for a widebody RS/ST. I know if differs slighlty from car to car.

As for the vintage weekend, I will be up there on the Saturday! I am also competing at Mosport this
Weekend. Wait until you see all the changes they have made. The place looks great. One of the big changes is
the paved to the wall on the exit of #2. Corner one has been paved for more run off as well.

    Cheers
    John

What will you be running? - I will pop by. Sounds like the track will be faster with these changes to 1 and 2 you mentioned. Takes some of the "pucker" factor out of them.

The consensus is that there is no consensus.

Here's the table most people use for determining Fuchs offsets. It's been posted many times, but it can't hurt to have it up once more:

There's also a good table of other Porsche wheels inc weights, offsets etc (taken from Rennlist)

Thanks Kent that chart is very helpful! I am thinking of trying a 8 at 10.6 for the rear.
It looks like I will have clearance depending on tire width?

    Luke
I will be in a Mazdaspeed 3 this weekend. 2 day Time Attack event.
Really looking forward to next weekend though. The vintage event should
be great! If anyone else is in the city(Toronto) next weekend June 16th, Yorkville is holding
a large exotic/classic car show. Worth a gander
