    Doors: Black painted edge question

    Hello guys,

    just another nerdy question.

I’ve seen that most 911 have a flat black painted edge on the internal side of the doors (see photo).

The question: must this painted belt be always black or should it match the upholstery color, as it happened for 356 cars?

    Thankssss
    Francesco

Hi Francesco, the doors were always detailed black. The idea was that the cabin area had no body colour showing.

Always black, and it was originaly brushed on. If you see an original car you can see the brush strokes in the paint. The inside edges are always wonky as there was no tape on the inner part to keep a clean edge
