As you'll note the pump has had a hard life, but not beyond repair - hopefully.
This is the armature and commutator which is showing lots of wear. Brushes and connector - note tension springs for brushes have been removed. The coiled copper wires appear to be suppressors. Don't lose the 5 small parts which fit into the spaces in the rotor.

#1 back in car and working fine. Gave #2, the other one's copper windings a good clean with some electronic cleaning solvent and a soft wire brush. Now works fine. Leak test to be completed tomorrow on #2, (that's the ugly one above), then a fuel resistant paint job before installing back in car.
