Thread: Händler Nr = Dealer Codes

  1. #51
The contact to the Swiss Club is a good idea. I’ll do that. The car disappeared off the road from 80-85’ and reappeared in Zurich. Perhaps they have some records of history.

Here is the reply from Amag:

(Per the red form above, AMAG was the original Importer, as recorded under ‘A – Vertreter’.

Smaller dealers in Switzerland, like Siffert, got their cars from AMAG. These smaller dealers were known as the ‘B or C – Vertreter’. Sometimes these B or C dealer details were –not- recorded. This appears to have happened in the case of your car. More research is needed.)

Hopefully this info helps a few others as well.

    Regards, Robert

I have a document in which I can partially see some letters that speak of the distributor for a 72 vehicle, I would like to ask... is there one that begins with 6? 643 or similar? I know it's not for the national market since they clearly start with 1... or the ones with two digits... This one I'm looking at has three and it seems to me that it starts with 6 although I don't know for sure
