Thread: Who also has a copy of their Auftragsbestätigung - "Confirmation of Order"

Who also has a copy of their Auftragsbestätigung - "Confirmation of Order"

The Kardex poll got me thinking-who has a copy of their car's original Confirmation of Order?

I have a copy of the car's Kardex, as well as the car's Auftragsbestätigung - "Confirmation of Order", an A4 sheet that shows the:

Bestimmungsland ("Australien" - country of destination)

Firma (Company, ie Norman Hamilton & Co Australien)

    Komm-Nr (Commission No)

Kunde (Customer name e.g. R.F. Angas)

Produktionsmonat date (?) (this is not the build date & might be production commencement date, is a few weeks before build date)

Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen-den ; Date of acceptance of order (different to the above, earlier)

    Rechtslenkung - Right Hand Drive

Under a heading Sonderwunsche Porsche it list all options with numbers.

Wagenfarbe and Sitze - paint and (seats) trim codes and specification (5710 Steingrau & dunkelgrun-Skai)

It also calls out specifically "6kg Farbe Steingrau"- 6kg of 5710 special order paint

    Motor Typ 2000

**there is no VIN or engine No info on this sheet, I assume as it's pre-production**

One thing I can't decipher, listed above the heading "Sonderwunsche Karosserie" is the entry "9271 (Werksinterne Nr)" - is this the works building in which it's built?

This thus really is the true "Birth Certificate" of the car spelling out all the inputs of the car.

    Cheers

    Stew.

    Auftragsbestätigung

I've noticed that some of the cars owned by the more Hard Korps owners --- from waaaay back . . . tend to have more/better/interestinger paperwork w/ their cars. Hang-tags, instruction + accessory manuals, folios, stickers, pamphlets --- the sheer amount of swag seems endless . . .

    . . . like Bryce's '69 . . .

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-911S-Registry...

I imagine the Werks pared down some of this stuff --- especially after 356 production ended, in the mid-'60s . . . and even more so when 911 production took-off, in the early '70s . . . but, still . . .

    . . . not sure if I've heard o' this Auftragsbestätigung

Please publish some scans of this document?
